Inside Sales and Marketing Assistant

The Inside Sales Representative is the customer’s first point of contact with Grand Stage and shall strive to grow the sales division of Grand Stage. They will work with retail customers and staff to maximize customer experience and value while maintaining an orderly, safe, and efficient work environment. This includes assisting with the sales warehouses, initiating customer contact, order fulfillment, social media, and e-commerce sales.

Requirements:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Investment in the entire sales process
• Customer service phone calls
• Determine product and service offerings
• Initiate customer contact both from the office and in the field
• Work with customers to determine needs and develop sales and rental quotations
• Promote Grand Stage/Chicago Spotlight as a preferred vendor
• Update the E-Commerce and company websites
• Foster Grand Stage’s presence on social media
• Maintain inventory of expendables, including tape, paint, lamps, gel, parts, etc.
• Research and recommend new products to carry
• Assist with project and consumable sales.
• Assemble and organize sales and pricing information
• Assist with office supply inventory and ordering
• Prepare and ship customer orders
• Track demo gear and sample items
• Update Show Room for seasonal and product needs
• Prepare, maintain, and distribute marketing material.
• Assist with day to day operations of family owned business and any other responsibilities as may be requested
• After hours and weekend work as required

Ideal Candidates will possess the following:
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive attitude and be a team player
• Excellent customer service skills
• A strong working knowledge of theatrical lighting practices and equipment
• A familiarity with PC computers and Microsoft Office products
• Creative problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude
• The ability to multi-task, set agendas and handle several projects simultaneously
• The ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.

Candidate must be energetic, creative, organized, self-starting, and have good people skills. The Inside Sales Rep is the customer’s first point of contact with Grand Stage and shall strive to grow the sales division of Grand Stage. They will work with sales & rental customers, and staff to maximize customer experience and value while maintaining an orderly, safe, and efficient work environment. This includes assisting with the rental & sales warehouses, initiating customer contact, and order fulfillment.


Annual salary $32,000-$37,000, negotiable based on prior experience (includes excellent benefits).

Service and Commissioning Technician

The Service Technician is responsible for performing installation and repair work on theatrical lighting equipment and control systems, and shall strive to grow the service division of Grand Stage. They will work with service customers and staff to maximize customer experience and value while maintaining an orderly, safe, and efficient work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair Grand Stage equipment
• Maintain and repair customer equipment both in the shop and in the field
• Install and commission new projects and systems
• Supervise electrical contractors for hang & focus of new projects and systems
• Generate billing and maintain records and logs
• Create purchase orders and keep inventory current
• Maintain repair area in function and appearance
• Assist with general company IT infrastructure and deployment
• Assist with contract sales specification, quotation and order closing
• Some travel required and non-standard hours

Ideal Candidates will possess the following:
• An interest in electronics and software
• A desire to solve problems and create solutions
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills
• The ability to multi-task, set agendas, and handle several projects simultaneously.
• Computer literacy in general PC and Microsoft products
• A valid Illinois driver’s license with a clean driving record
• The ability to lift 60 lbs., use ladders, and work in construction type environments
• Prior experience with and working knowledge of entertainment equipment including ETC, Strand, and Colortran.

Candidate must be energetic, creative, organized, self-starting, and have good people skills. Job functions include responsibility for performing installation and repair work on theatrical lighting and control systems. This includes in-house and on-site work in collaboration with our project management and repair departments.


Annual salary starts at $40k, based on experience (includes excellent benefits).

Rental Technician

Candidate must be energetic, creative, organized, self-starting, and have good people skills. Job functions include responsibility for rental equipment, warehouse organization and production projects from start to finish. This includes pulling and maintaining equipment, computer entry order, resource scheduling and customer interaction.

Requirements:
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Computer literate in MAC
• Familiarity with theatrical lighting and staging manufactures
Duties:
• Prep and maintain rental inventory
• Prepare customer quotaions
• Schedule materials and labor for production projects
• Coordinate in house production schedules to meet project timelines
• Assist with other Grand Stage departments as necessary


Candidate should have prior experience with and working knowledge of entertainment lighting and staging equipment; including their proper application.
